Our Team

  • Robert Campana - CEO

Robert has spent his entire career immersed in the agriculture and education industries, cultivating a deep passion for plants and sustainable agriculture. In 2010, he joined the startup team at PanDia Seeds, an international vegetable seed company, where he discovered the transformative power of planting the right variety in the right place at the right time. Inspired by PanDia’s innovations that were boosting productivity for farmers worldwide, Robert set out to share this knowledge with a broader audience.

This vision led to the creation of Leaf’d Box, a venture focused on making gardening accessible to all-- their #EasiestGardenEver. Through Leaf’d Box, Robert has empowered countless individuals and families to experience the joys of home gardening around the country. Now, with the launch of STEM & Branches, he is bringing his expertise to the classroom, specifically through the Hydroponic Gardening After School Program.

Robert is dedicated to fostering the next generation of environmental stewards by teaching students about hydroponics—a soil-free, water-efficient method of growing plants that maximizes space. His commitment to education and innovation continues to inspire young minds, encouraging them to make a positive impact on the world through sustainable gardening practices.

  • Nico Navarro - Program Director

Nico's childhood was filled with exploration and curiosity—whether he was overturning rocks in search for bugs, biking through the neighborhood, or observing tadpoles in a nearby water hole. His passion for learning outdoors naturally evolved into his study of soil science, first at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and later at Penn State, where he received his master's in 2018. Since 2020, Nico has dedicated himself to education, teaching at the Ventura Junior Lifeguard Program, CSU Channel Islands, and leading farm field trips with SEEAG, a local non-profit. His journey eventually brought him to STEM & Branches, where he crafted an interactive after school program centered in hydroponic gardening, delighting in teaching students about gardening without soil. Nico aims to share his enthusiasm for learning with students both locally and beyond. When he's not working, you can find Nico surfing at C St., playing guitar, or hanging out on his porch.
